Clay Paw Print - Terracotta

Let us make your beloved pet’s clay paw for you. A remarkable way to uniquely honor the pet you cherished and adored, the clay paw is a distinctly unique and special way to memorialize your pet forever. A Clay Paw® can also be made for your beloved horse. The clay is available in either white or terracotta, and we will customize it by stamping your pet’s name on the clay next to the paw print impression.

Baking Instructions for Homeward Bound Clay Paw Prints.
We recommend that you bake your print soon, ideally within a few weeks. The image is not permanent until it is set by baking. If you want to add any holes for hanging, just use a drinking straw to poke a hole (or two) through the clay prior to baking (don’t get too close to the edge, or it may crack when baked). You may finish your clay paw print with a spray finish, paint it, etc., the options are endless. You may also leave it as is once it comes out of the oven.
The best baking surface is any oven safe metal or glass pan (do NOT use any oils or sprays to prevent sticking). Do not place your print directly on the rack in any oven. Always use a pan/tray, etc.

IDEAL BAKING TEMPERATURE – do not microwave!
295 °F (145 °C) this is for adjusted for our high altitude (above 5,000 feet)

15 minutes per 1/4-inch (6 mm) thickness. Most of our pet prints are about 3/8-inch-thick (9.5 mm), so optimal baking time is about 18-20 minutes. Ovens vary, so use caution. DO NOT OVER BAKE. Allow your print to cool completely before removing it from the pan. It is better to err on the side of caution, and under-bake as opposed to over-bake. If your print remains soft, allow it to cool completely, then decide if you still need to bake it for a few more minutes. Toaster ovens work, too.
